Dennis Bock was raised in Oakville, Ontario. He earned a BA in English and Philosophy from the University of Western Ontario. Olympia is his first novel length book of fiction. His short stories have appeared in Quarry, Queen's Quarterly, Canadian Fiction Magazine, Descant and Grain. Bock's short story "Olympia" has been selected for inclusion in The Journey Prize Anthology and the Oberon Anthology. Much of "Olympia" was written at the Yaddo and Banff writers' retreats. He has recently returned to Canada after five years teaching English in Spain.
