Born in Massachusetts, Ronnie R. Brown has spent most of her adult life in Canada, first in Montreal and then in Ottawa, where she now lives with her husband, journalist Jim Brown. Ronnie earned her B.A. and M.A. in Creative Writing from Montreal's Concordia University, where she was awarded both the Board of Governors' Medal and The Graduate Students' award for excellence in poetry. She has taught both literature and creative writing at Concordia and Carleton Universities. Her third collection, Photographic Evidence, was short-listed for the Archibald Lampman Award in 2001. Night Echoes is Ronnie's fifth collection of poetry.
