T. Anders Carson grew up on the outskirts of Ottawa in the suburb endearingly called Kanata - a place where, he says, the mortgages are almost as big as the egos. After his parents' early deaths, he opted to write from that "dark place." His narcotic of choice was a boarding pass to anywhere. Anders now resides in Portland, Ontario, where he is making new memories with Vicki and their first daughter, Emilia. His work has appeared in periodicals and magazines in 19 countries, and has been translated into Greek, Japanese and Swedish. A Different Shred of Skin is his first full-length poetry collection.
