Gary Geddes is an award-winning poet, writer, editor and critic. He has written and edited more than 30 books, including the bestselling Sailing Home and several literary anthologies. His work has been dramatized on CBC and BBC radio and on stage, and has won more than a dozen national and international awards, including the Americas Best Book Award and the Gabriela Mistral Prize. Most recently, he was Distinguished Professor of Canadian Culture at Western Washington University in Bellingham. His most recent collection is Skaldance. Gary is currently Writer In Residence at the University of Ottawa.
