Sky Gilbert was the artistic director of Buddies in Bad Times Theatre in Toronto from 1979 to 1997. He left this post to write, and critics acclaimed his first three novels: Guilty, St. Stephen's and I am Kasper Klotz. Sky's publications include the poetry collections Digressions of a Naked Party Girl, and Temptations for a Juvenile Delinquent. Sky has just finished editing an anthology of Canadian gay plays for Playwrights' Canada Press called Perfectly Abnormal. Cormorant Books published his fourth novel, An English Gentleman, which received the ReLit Award. His fifth novel, a fictional autobiography of J. D. Salinger (Brother Dumb) will be published in November. By day he is Dr. Sky Gilbert, and holds the University Research Chair in Creative Writing and Drama Studies at Guelph University.
