Norman Hallendy continues to learn from Inuit elders on his journeys to the Arctic. He is a Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society and recipient of the Society's Gold Medal, a member of the World Archaeological Institute of North America, and a Research Fellow of the Nunavut Research Institute, the Canadian Museum of Civilization, and the Smithsonian Institution. Norman's writings on traditional Inuit subjects have been published in many magazines and learned journals. A touring exhibition of his photographs was shown in Paris and other cities around the world.
