Nairne Holtz is a Montreal-based novelist and librarian. Her novel The Skin
Beneath (Insomniac Press, 2007) is a gender-bending whodunit and love story.
She is the co-editor of the anthology No Margins: Writing Canadian Fiction
in Lesbian (Qpress, 2006). Her work has appeared in Other Voices, Rise Up
Singing, Harrington Lesbian Fiction Quarterly, Hot & Bothered 4, Back to
Basics: a Butch-Femme Anthology, and Velvet Mafia. Holtz has an MA in
Literature and a Master’s in Library and Information Studies from McGill
University. Holtz was born in Philadelphia and raised in Nova Scotia.
