Monica Hughes is the internationally acclaimed author of more than 30 books, including the Isis Trilogy, Hunter in the Dark, The Golden Aquarians, The Seven Magpies and, more recently, The Story Box. Known for her skill in setting her books in a wide variety of times and places, Monica is beloved by an audience that recognizes itself in her well-drawn characters and their true-to-life dilemmas. Her numerous literary awards include the Vicky Metcalf Award and two Governor General's Awards. Born in England, she has lived in Edmonton, Alberta, for many years. Maze is her most recent work of young adult fiction.
