Jacquie McNish has been a business journalist in Canada and the United States for twenty-four years. She was a financial reporter for The Wall Street Journal and is currently a senior writer for The Globe and Mail in Toronto. She has won numerous journalism awards including a National Newspaper Award in 1993 and 2003. Her book The Big Score: Robert Friedland and the Voisey's Bay Hustle was a critically acclaimed bestseller, described on the BBC as "that rare thing, a business book that is also an excellent read." She lives in Toronto, Ontario, with her husband and two sons.
