Born in Denmark, Dr. Hans MÖller obtained a Ph.D. in Danish Language and Literature from the University of Copenhagen and became Research Librarian at the Copenhagen Royal Library, including the department containing H.C. Andersen's manuscript collection. In 1955, he came to Canada as Executive Producer at the National Film Board. In 1974, he became Chief Librarian at Ottawa University then from 1977 onwards, he worked as Librarian, Professor and Director of Libraries at McGill University. Today, in Montreal, he enjoys teaching and editing of scholarly books in the FONTANUS series, which he founded.
