Éilís Ní Dhuibhne was born in Dublin in 1954 where she works as a folklorist and library curator. She has won various awards and scholarships, including a Listowel Writers' Week Award in 1989 and an Arts Council Bursary in Literature in 1986. Her stories have appeared in many anthologies, including The Picador Book of Irish Fiction. Her latest collection of short stories is The Inland Ice.
