B.W. Powe is a philosopher, essayist, poet and novelist. He is the author of a number of influential books including The Solitary Outlaw, and the novel Outrage. He was the program coordinator for three significant cultural symposia – Marshall McLuhan (1997), Trudeau (1998), and Living Literacies (2002) – and is professor of English at York University.
