Armand Garnet Ruffo has authored works ranging from his two poetry collections, Opening in the Sky, and Grey Owl: The Mystery of Archie Belaney, to plays, stories and essays. His play A Windigo Tale won the 2000 CBC Arts Performance Showcase Competition. Armand's poetry, stories and essays have appeared in numerous literary journals and anthologies, including The Canadian Fiction Magazine, The International Journal of Canadian Studies, and Native Poetry in Canada. He now makes his home in Ottawa, where he teaches Native literature at Carleton University and is associate director of the Centre for Aboriginal Education, Research and Culture.
