Carla Seaquist is an American playwright and author. Her play The Washington-Sarajevo Talks had a successful reading at New York Theatre Workshop. Following a reading at Oregon Shakespeare Festival, it premiered at Chicago's Victory Gardens Theater. Other plays: Kate and Kafka, in which Katharine Hepburn meets Franz Kafka (Ashland New Plays Festival, Albee conference); Excess on Their Hands, about the male preference for younger women; and The Altitude of Virtue. Her play-in-progress, Prodigal, is about the Prodigal Son and his brother. Her op-eds appear in the Christian Science Monitor, New York Times, and Washington Post. Long a resident of Washington, D.C., she and husband Larry now live in Gig Harbor, WA.
