Arthur Slade is the author of Dust, a national bestseller and the winner of the 2001 Governor General's Award for Children's Literature and the Saskatchewan Book Award for Children's Literature. He is also the author of Northern Frights, a series of young adult novels based on Icelandic folktales. Arthur now writes full-time from his home in Saskatoon. His latest novel is The Hunchback Assignments, a steampunk thriller for kids.
