Anne Stone presents the angry and searching concerns of the newest generation of young writers, using the insights of feminist novelistic innovation and criticism. A writer and text-based performance artist, she has made her home in Montréal, Toronto and Vancouver. Her first novel, jacks: a gothic gospel, is both formally and typographically experimental, conveying aspects of the story through the book's design. Her latest novel, Hush, set in the Eastern Townships of Quebec, explores violence, complicity and sites of resistance.
