Ken Wiwa was born in Nigeria and educated in England. He contributes to newspapers, including The Globe and Mail, the Guardian, the Independent and the Observer. Internationally his journalism has appeared in South Africa, Holland, Germany and Spain and in a weekly column for Vanguard in Nigeria. Ken's first book, In the Shadow of a Saint, is a remarkable portrait of his relationship with his father, Ken Saro-Wiwa, who was executed in 1995. He now lives in Canada with his family and is Senior Resident Writer at Massey College in the University of Toronto.
