Chef Michael Smith, Canada’s best-known chef, is the winner of the James Beard Award for Cooking Show Excellence and host ofshows including Chef Michael’s Kitchen (premiering August 27) and Chef at Home on Food Network Canada, and in more than 100 other countries. His first cookbook with Penguin, Chef Michael Smith’s Kitchen was released in 2011 and was a smash hit across Canada. His new book, Fast Flavours, is publishing this September, featuring 110 new fast, easy to make meals. Michael is also Prince Edward Island’s official food ambassador, a newspaper columnist, professional chef and home cook. In 2010 he led the team of chefs that cooked for the worlds Olympians in the Whistler Athletes Village.
