Armand Garnet Ruffo

Armand Garnet Ruffo is a honourary life member of The League of Canadian Poets. Strongly influenced by his Ojibway heritage, he continues to publish widely. His publications include Introduction to Indigenous Literary Criticism (Broadview, 2016), The Thunderbird Poems (Harbour, 2015) and Norval Morrisseau: Man Changing Into Thunderbird (D&M, 2014), a finalist for the Governor General’s Literary Award. Recent work includes poetry, GRANTA (2017); fiction, Alternative History Comics, 2017; and a libretto for The Festival of Sound/ Toronto Masque Theatre (2017). A Band Member of the Chapleau Fox Lake First Nation, he currently lives in Kingston where he is the Queen’s National Scholar in Indigenous Literature at Queen’s University.
