Raiyah is a seventh grade student at Hadley-Philemon Wright High School in Quebec. She has always had a curious mind and inquisitive spirt. From an early age she has been interested in human rights, especially as they relate to children. For the past few years Raiyah - inspired by Shannen Koostachin’s story - has spoken about the importance of equal funding for child welfare services on reserves. She believes that children can use their voices to challenge those in power, and bring about positive change in society.
