Write On! Poetry and Inspiration
with Patrick Lane

Hosted by Stephen Brockwell
"Patrick Lane is our most essential poet: tough, tender, fearless, and beautifully dangerous. For decades he has been our guide to darkness, and our provider of unexpected flashes of brilliant, almost blinding light.

Following the success of his award-winning memoir There is a Season, and his bestselling novel Red Dog, Red Dog, Patrick Lane felt his celebrated poetry career might be at an end when he published his Collected Poems in 2011. But the process of revisiting his collected poetic works rekindled his first love and launched him on a new phase of poetry composition that resulted in his remarkable new collection, Washita.

Join us for a conversation with one of the country’s acknowledged masters of the form on finding inspiration and what only poetry can convey.
