Alan Cumyn is the bestselling author of the award winning Own Skye children’s novels. He has also written critically acclaimed novels for adults and young adults. He is the past chair of The Writers’ Union of Canada and is currently the faculty chair for the MFA program in Writing for Children and Young Adults at the Vermont College of fine Arts. In 2016he won the Writers’ Trust of Canada’s Vicky Metcalf Award for his body of work for young readers.
Mary Branley is an award winning poet, writer of non-fiction and lives in North Sligo, Ireland. Currently she is writer in residence at the Glens Theatre in Manorhamilton, County leitrim, and facilitator with Kids Own Publishing on 25 titles. Kids Own publishes books written and illustrated by children.
JonArno Lawson, a three-time winner of the lion and the Unicorn Award for Excellence in North American Children’s Poetry, is the author of many books for Children and adults, including Sidewalk Flowers which won a Governor General's Award.
