Phil Jenkins

Canadian writers lead the world in producing creative non-fiction. Under that broad, clumsy banner have come some works that Phil Jenkins would sooner describe as “poetic documentary” writing. Phil, a bestselling author, popular columnist and acclaimed songwriter, will examine what that term means, who has achieved it, how to recognize it when you read it, how it works, and why it is a vital, undernourished part of the Canadian writing scene that could use some new members.
