Music & Film Under the Stars:
Canadian Short Films with new scores by Mike Dubue

"Dubue [is} irrepressibly omnivorous in the pop-music sense, and almost manically driven to make music.
— Peter Simpson, Ottawa Citizen
Please be advised: this event has been moved to the Champlain Room at City Hall. Ask the info-desk for directions.

Join us for an exciting evening on the grounds of Ottawa City Hall for a BBQ, a beverage and an evening of acclaimed film and innovative music! We'll be set up outdoors between the Provincial Court House and the Teachers College.

As a thank you to our community for our most successful Spring Edition ever, we are thrilled to be animating the grounds of Ottawa's City Hall with a free outdoor event featuring Canadian Vintage & Archival Short Films with brand new music composed by Mike Dubue and performed by the HILOTRONS

Included in Mike's selection of films is a reel from The Man From Glengarry (1922).  This film, a spectacular silent feature shot in Ottawa in the early 1920s by director Henry Macrae, concerns a blood feud between the leaders of rival logging camps along the Ottawa River. The film features the Parliament buildings, the old downtown train station and the logging era on the Ottawa river.
