Carleton University presents Andrew Cohen

"Andrew Cohen has changed the way we regard JFK in Two Days as much as JFK changed the presidency and the world in those two days.
— David M. Shribman Editor, Post-Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Winner of the Pulitzer Prize
Andrew Cohen

Author Meets Readers  invites Carleton students and the community to join a discussion on new books published by members of the Carleton University Faculty of Public Affairs.

Two Days in June: John F. Kennedy and the 48 Hours That Made History  is the story of two feverish days in the presidency of John F. Kennedy in which he pivots boldly on the two biggest issues of his generation: nuclear arms and civil rights. On two consecutive days, in two lyrical speeches, he appeals to Americans to see the Russians and “Negroes” differently. One speech leads to the Limited Nuclear Test Ban Treaty of 1963; the second to the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
